Oral hygiene

Oral hygiene is important to take at least 3 minutes. Brushing in the morning, after meals and at bedtime.

Chewing gum can not replace a correct brushing.

It is advisable to use a soft brush, which is replaced every 3-4 months. Studies show that powered toothbrushes with circular motion and oscillations are more efficient than other classical or electric toothbrushes.

Brushing is done by placing the brush at 45 degree angle to the meeting between the tooth and gum. Brush is held firmly and makes circular motions from the gum to tooth. (From red to white)  Also you need to brush all tooth surfaces, the surface of the tongue and cheeks. Deposits on the tongue  cause bad breath and is a medium for bacterial growth.

There are substances called plaque revealing,  periodic examinations  for dental plaque are necessary, to be sure that  all tooth surfaces are well cleaned.

Using once a day is enought:
– wrapped between fingers
– a plastic device that fits floss

The floss easily penetrates between teeth to the gum around each tooth is moved several times, removing plaque.

Flossing may at first seem difficult, but if you insist, you will shortly see major improvements in the technique.
